Authentic Tres Leches Cake/No Butter

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour (sifted 3 times)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups granulate white sugar (divided 1 cup/1/2 cup)
6 eggs separated
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup whole milk

1. Sift flour 2 to 3 times then whisk together with salt and baking powder.
2. Separate eggs. Beat the egg whites to soft peaks then add 1/2 cup sugar to the whites and beat to stiff peaks.
3. Blend the egg yolks, vanilla, milk and 1 cup sugar in a separate bowl.
4. Add dry ingredients to wet by folding, the fold beaten egg whites to the batter.
5. Pour in a greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2 pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until toothpick or skewer inserted comes out clean.
6. Let rest for 5 minutes then invert to cool on a wire rack.
7. Clean and dry the pan then place cake back in the pan and poke holes with a fork or skewer.

Tres Leches or Three Milks
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 can Nestle's Media Crema
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla exract

Mix all ingredients together then pour on top of cake slowly until cake has soaked up all the milk.

Whipped Frosting
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Whip heavy cream with a hand mixer on high in a chilled bowl (chill the beaters too). When soft peak forms add sugar slowly while continue to beat. Add vanilla and mix well. Don't over beat (7 to 8 minutes total)
 Frost cake and add caramel of you like or nuts or Maraschino cherries or strawberries.
